District Information The Columbus School District encompasses an area of approximately 135 miles in Columbia, Dodge and Dane Counties. Located in South Central Wisconsin, the Columbus School District is approximately 70 miles northwest of Milwaukee, 30 miles northeast of Madison, and 30 miles southeast of Portage. The Columbus School District has three school buildings: Columbus Elementary School Grades K-3 (920) 623-5952 Columbus Middle School Grades 4-8 (920) 623-5954 Columbus High School Grades 9-12 (920) 623-5956 Housed in Columbus Elementary School is the Discovery Charter School, Grades K-2.
